Hugo is a mentor with Canada InfoNet and he works for Moving2Canada supporting newcomers to settle in Canada.  Hugo, who is also an immigrant from Ireland, has been observing Canada’s trends on immigration to share with newcomers. From his personal and professional experience he understands the needs and goals of immigrants and feels rewarded in empowering them to be successful in Canada.

In this interview, Hugo talks about the group mentoring experience, the benefits of being a mentor to immigrants and also provide some advice to immigrants on how to build a local network especially “offline”.
