Careers with a Future
Katherine O'Brien, a Staff Writer with Possibilities, Toronto's Online Employment Resource Centre, in a recent article entitled 'Careers with a Future', takes a look at existing and upcoming employment trends and the importance of keeping informed about these before investing time and money in a (training/academic) program.
She makes the point that, arguably, technology will be the most important trend to watch as advances in this area can have a huge impact on occupations - creating new jobs and making others obsolete.
